RAWR!

Feeling quite bouncy today. But the homework that must be done might be enough to take away my bounce. Hehe *boing* hehe!
I was amused today by the fact that Samuel seemed amused by my speaking. I said 'Shut up' to Amy (as usual - not in a mean way, we're just like that, she always goes 'oh shush!') and Samuel asked me to repeat it and a bit later said that we haven't really had a proper conversation - which Za commented on: "You've been in the same class for like four years ... " And we have actually talked, just not much at all. I don't know, he's a bit weird sometimes...

I just read Pride and Prejudice (have already listened to it on cassette tape) and the version I read had some terrible spelling mistakes, e.g. 'chooses' is 'chuses' etc. I really want to see the new version of Pride and Prejudice - with Keira Knightly etc. - but can't find it in any shops I look, but other people think it is def. out on DVD... hmmm.... curious.

I recently discovered Amy Peppercorn is an actual person not just a book character (books so far are: Amy Peppercorn - Starry Eyed and Screaming, Amy Peppercorn - Living the Dream and Amy Peppercorn - Beyond the Stars. But someone writes about her - am not sure if stories are real characters and real events or fictional events with real characters, at the moment I am inclined to believe the latter. But she has a great voice - borrowed the book from the library - "Beyond the Stars" and found a CD on the front with two songs of hers. Love her song 'If Ever', it's really good... got it stuck in my head today, along with various other songs, found myself humming in lessons... The song was written either by or for her friend Geoff who died young. Looked up the lyrics to it on her site and found that actually, the lyrics are wrong with the version of the song on the CD, but hey, pretty much right. The song suits my voice quite well which is another reason for my liking it... with me for songs it's 'If I can sing it, I'll like it a lot more.'

If Ever (Geoff's song)
Lyrics adjusted by me

You would seize the day for me
Keep the night away for me
Make the darkness light for me
The noble sun ignite for me
If ever you were here

And if ever you were here again
I’d never shed a tear again
Or make the sunrise mine alone
Or see a new sun shine alone
If ever you were here

You would seize the day for me
Keep fearful nights away for me
Make the darkness light for me
The noble sun ignite for me
If ever you were here with me

And if ever you were here again
I’d never shed a tear again
Or make the sunrise mine alone
Or see a new sun shine alone
If ever you were here

But nothing is forever now I know
As the sun will burn to death one day
To be with you where you have gone
Where suns and stars have never shone

And if ever you were here again
I’d never shed a tear again
Or make the sunrise mine alone
Or see a new sun shine alone
If ever you were here

And if ever you were here with me
Once more
Just one more day to keep
As darkness makes its way to sleep
To know that you’ve been near to me
I’d never shed a tear
