Oh yes, and I'm going back through the 'Why Can't I?' (Liz Phair) and Cascada phase. Hence the additions/rearranging of the music player. Loving the whole bouncy music thing. Might add some Lads music if I can find some... and maybe Newsboys. Hmm. I really should be doing work...
Whoops... I remembered a little late that I was supposed to buy veges on the way home. We pretty much have none at the moment :(. I shall simply have to eat more fruit... though we need more of that too. And milk. Will be good when dad's back and we have access to a car. Useful stuff.
Ooh! I just found some colouring pages on The Lads' website! :) *is happy*
When I have something to say, here is where I say it.
I blog about music, films, books, life in general, whatever takes my fancy :)

Art and Books
Aloha! Long time no see. I just had to come on and say I now have 2 new favourite artists - Oliver Pengilley and Tony DiTerlizzi. I first saw Oliver Pengilley's work at the New Wine Art Gallery and since then I have found his website. I think his work is completely amazing! I first saw Tony DiTerlizzi's work in the 'Magic Shop' series by Bruce Coville - though at the time I didn't know who the illustrator, it was only last week that I realised it was DiTerlizzi. The books that really made me love his work are the illustrations in the Spiderwick Chronicles series. I've managed to read 4/5 of the books (I have yet to read 'The Ironwood Tree'). I ended up photocopying loads of pictures from the books just to put in a scrapbook of illustrations etc. that I admire. I should really put some of Pengilley's work in there too. I've just stuck a whole lot of fashion illustrations and stuff in there. Got some rather awesome stuff :). Anyway, visit Tony DiTerlizzi's site here. Love it.
Earlier today I was in town (I took my mummy out for a lovely lunch :D) and I had a bit of a wander around Waterstone's. I saw a whole lot of books that I really want! (Or at least want to find in the library to read). I thought I'd put a wish list here :P.
Also, I found a book which I think I'll buy my dad for Christmas. I shall be making a list of things to buy people soon...

My Book Wishlist
- 'The Gift' by Cecelia Ahern
- 'Thanks for the Memories' by Cecelia Ahern (Actually, my local library does actually have this, it's just on loan)
- 'The General' by Robert Muchamore (I'll probably just read this when they get it at the library)
- 'Alex Rider: The Mission Files' by Anthony Horowitz (Ok, maybe I don't want it that much, but you've got to admit, it's cool.)
- The book that I'm going to get dad but won't mention here in case he reads it.
- This particular exclusive copy of 'Pride and Prejudice'. It's so gorgeous! (I don't really need it, I've actually got 2 copies of the book already, but I'm going to give one away, and I got both of them from Oxfam I think...)
- Possibly also the copy of 'Sense and Sensibility' from the same theme (again I have an Oxfam-bought copy, but I think it's a little damaged. And not half as pretty :P)
- 'Cookie' by Jacqueline Wilson
- Any giftbook by Edward Monkton (I'm not sure if they're really worth it as they contain so little, but they are just so lovely!)
- 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' by J.K.Rowling (Well, I am in fact, getting this for myself - I pre-ordered it a while back... I'll just have to go in in December and get it :) )
- A pretty box set of the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy. Like this one. But not necessarily so fancy. I just really want a box set of something... I wanted a Harry Potter one but that seems a bit daft now as I've got 6 of the 7 books - I picked them all up at various times from charity shops, apart from Deathly Hallows which dad went and bought for me when it came out :D.
- 'Fabulous Doodles' by Nellie Ryan (Maybe not... but I like the idea behind it)
- The Immortals quartet (has to have the recent cover art - like this one, not sure who the artist is)
- 'Bloodhound' by Tamora Pierce (Actually, it's not out til April next year, I only just realised that... Oh well, should be good anyway)
Well, I'll stop now... I think I'll save my dreams of box sets and pretty covers until I'm old, rich and have my own library in my house. I already need a new bookshelf... there are so many books! Really I don't know if I hugely want any books this December, I've already run out of room for books... And soon I'll be off to Uni and will have nowhere to put them! *sigh* But I just love them so much!
Anyway, I've now spent ages wasting time browsing books. Now I must get back to my work. I've got quite a lot done actually! My half term is being fairly productive. Tell you about it later.
¡Adios!

Old music...
Well, not that old. Just old to me.
Was on myflashfetish.com and had a look at what sort of songs I had on my old music player lists. Some of them I haven't listened to in aaaages! I think I might add some on to my new music player...
Hmm... I think I'll put 'Why Can't I' by Liz Phair back on... Love it. Always reminds me of Harry Potter because I first heard it on a Harry Potter fan vid on YouTube. Perhaps 'I Don't Want To Be' by Gavin Degraw. Yes. 'On the Way Down' by Ryan Cabrera. 'Hero' by Superchick. 'She's So High' - Tal Bachman. I really like 'Way Into Love' from Music and Lyrics but I don't think I'll put it in this one... Um. 'Here Without You' by 3 Doors Down.
Wow, there's like, 30 songs on there now... I think I'd better stop. It's unlikely that anyone apart from me will ever listen to the whole music player thingy, lol. Perhaps the first song or two.
Anyway, was nice to listen to music I haven't heard in a while...
Really tired today. Worked all day. Watched 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'Merlin' and 'X Factor' (Live). I only watch X Factor once they've narrowed it down a lot to the people who are actually half decent. Totally love Eoghan. And Diana - so sweet! Alexandra has such a powerful voice - it's great (she'll definitely get far in the competition). Those are probably my faves really. I think that Merlin is an excellent Saturday night show - rather exciting. Of the dancing I think Rachel did the best quickstep, and Cherie and Lisa both did fantastic rumbas - great in different ways I think. Yeah.
Typed up a couple of recipes from 'Cook Yourself Thin'. I shall soon return the book to the library... Ooh! Speaking of books - I've just started reading the Spiderwick Chronicles and I'm hooked! I've read the first 3 and I've got the last one (number 5) out of the library however I'm not going to be able to get hold of number 4 til Tuesday (the library that has it doesn't open on Sundays or Mondays, and the one at my usual local library is on loan). But yes, they are fab books - quite quick reads as they are aimed for 10-12 year olds or something like that. Absolutely love the illustrations - I may have to try drawing in that style...
Anywho, haven't really done much work this weekend. I think I may have a huge art deadline on Monday, but I'm not sure. It's a rather uncomfortable feeling. Especially since I haven't actually started the research needed (we have to write about an A4 page or a bit more on one of our artists - I haven't got to that section of my project yet and thus don't have the info...). I'll have to try and sort that out tomorrow. *yawn* Mmmmm... need sleeeeeeeeeep. eeiip. ih. *snore*

Songs!
Yeah, I've updated my music player (as you may have noticed). Removed a couple of songs that I'm a bit sick of now, lol. Added 3 LeAnn Rimes songs (I watched Coyote Ugly yesterday) and a couple disney movie songs (Ever ever after - Enchanted, It's not just make believe - Ella Enchanted). Oh, and 'Teardrops on my guitar' by Taylor Swift, just 'cause I like it. :)
That's just tonight of course, I did do quite a big update in the last week or so - 'Rule the World' from Stardust, a couple of random ones, and a few that were used for background music in Strictly Come Dancing.
Good stuff.
