When I have something to say, here is where I say it.
I blog about music, films, books, life in general, whatever takes my fancy :)

Mmm... libraries
Yeah. Anyway, yesterday I was reminded of something that Dan said to me last monday. I said how the library (the one in town) would be open the next day (it had been closed for a while - for developmenty stuff) and he said "Some people know all the tour dates of a band, you know what times the library is open". And it is rather true. But yesterday I realised it's a useful thing to know when libraries are open.
I know when the library in town is open (9.30am-5pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 9.30am-8pm Tuesday, Thursday;9.30?am-4 Saturday; Closed Sunday) and I know the college library opens at 8.30am.
Also, the library near college has a weird thing about the times - it doesn't open on wednesdays.
So yesterday was a wednesday, and I of course knew it wouldn't be open, but I went to sit on the bench outside because it's all nice and quite and sunny and I could eat my lunch. I counted about 4 people who came, stood at the doors, looked confused, eventually found the times and saw it was closed on wednesdays (except one who just left) and left. So knowing library times is useful.
Now that this 'boring interlude' is over, I'll babble about my day.
Today wasn't bad, end of college for a couple of weeks and all that. Yay! Sleep will be useful. Though I've got so much homework that I'm not sure I'll get any sleep let alone other revision...
Other events of the day, bought divine chocolate... mmm..., missed my train and arrived half an hour late for Psychology, didn't have choir (not that they bothered to tell us this), got a bleeding nose in Computing.
So yeah, the moral of the story is... eat chocolate and your day ain't that bad :).

Ech... zzZZ
Damn all this computing work. Still got loads to do. Fortunately I don't have the program I need and can therefore use that to explain my lack of work. To be fair I have been rushing around doing loads of work today and also just finishing now at doing some of the stuff.
Huge deadline tomorrow.
Have done quite a lot but not finished in the least.
Can't wait til Friday.
Sleep in. Do what I like. Go to youth group. Think about doing work. Leave it til Monday.
It'll be nice.
So yeah, I've got to do this work but not tonight. Tonight is for sleeping. Otherwise I'll die tomorrow when I have a full day and only one hour off all day. Need to remember to bring lunch today, otherwise I'll be a bit nyer. Well, I'll be a bit nyer anyway but that will be grumpiness.
Another annoying thing today was the fact that myspace wouldn't accept my html and therefore I decided that I'd just leave my profile as it is - using loads of code I don't understand rather than a smaller amount of code that I do understand. How useful.
Ech.
Also, grr at holepunches and whoever decided that computing work should be put together by a treasury tag through a hole-punched-hole in the top left hand corner of the page. My fricking computing work doesn't fit in a blimming hole punch! Therefore I will end up with a variety of lopsided pages tagged together.
AARGH!
(The quote 'Murder me Harry' comes to mind - though of course my dilemma is indeed not one of fashion)
I'm leaving now. Rant is not over, it's only beginning, but I'll live. I'll live better if I can get some sleep.
Proud of myself for finding alternatives to swear words :) except damn. But I did use 'grr at' instead of it once; and I do say damn sometimes *looks guilty*. Well that's life.

Now for my actual blog
Attempting to do computing (or not do computing) at the moment. I really can't cope and it's stupid because I know I'm going to leave here having done no work and I don't have fricking visual basic 6 at home! AAAAAAAAH!
We've finally got our write up guidelines but they seem almost completely different from the last ones we had which I did mine by until now.
Why did I take computing?
I'm just confused now and shall have to give up I think.
Deadline next Wednesday.
Yeah Right.

Shakespeare in love
Also there are many well known actors in it as well - Colin Firth, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett (uncredited), Ben Affleck and Geoffery Rush, and possibly others...
If you haven't watched it then you really should.

Happy Mother's Day!
Mmm.. painting.
So yeah, happy mother's day to all you mother's out there. And all you other people.
Thanks to those who are 'proud' to call me mother (e.g. Dan - myspace msged me :P, Tannya and Kat who have called me 'mummy hazel' for quite a long time methinks.) Yeah.
Much love.

Red Nose Day!
Not as many people as I though wore red today. Chels is very red and black today. She's even got red eyeliner which I'm not sure I approve of really... looks a bit strange :P But I love her anyway. A lot of people forgot it was red nose day (e.g. Dan, Furzer) and Fahima didn't have anything red to wear and so opted for blue instead - though she did bring her red nose from last year (the really plastic ones with elasticy hair and funny faces).
Sat in the library with Jodie, Fahima, George and Becky earlier (Hist was cancelled - Natalie's still ill) and did Jodie's sculpture questionnaire for Art and talked about MA/Red Nose Day/ other random stuff. According to Jodie (and Fahima who was forced to have an opinion) this year's red noses smell disgusting -they're the funny spongy ones which should technically be more comfortable.
I haven't seen any of the teachers wearing wigs today but apparently there are 2 or 3 of them who are being sponsered to do so.
So yeah, break will be over soon so I'd better stop typing. People coming back.

Home early!
Yesterday I spent a lot of time working but less time in class than out of it - I had one lesson at 8.45-9.45 then one at 12.00-1.00 then one at 3.15-4.15 and all the 2 hour blocks in between I just sat in the library mainly doing work.
Almost missed my Psych lesson today as I was in the library day-dreaming and doodling, thank goodness I can see my Psych room from where I was sitting - looked out and everyone was standing outside so packed up quick and managed to get there just on time :).
It's all goodly.
Hopefully will see my Tannya on Friday as I haven't seen her in aaages, like not since before October methinks... hadn't really thought about it that way, that actually is a really long time. Well yeah. So now I'm going to go and... possibly do something useful.
Oooh, and I drew an Audrey Hepburn pic in about half an hour (inspiration thanks to Becky/Picture (in book) thanks to Becky), gave it to Becky, lol. It wasn't too bad either for half an hour.
*smile*

Mmm... College.
The psychology essay was interesting, if a little disturbing. Did it on the psychodynamic model (Sigmund Freud - loved the quote from Paula: "Maybe he sniffed too much; you decide" - sums it up quite well methinks)
Seriously, I have to say that I never imagined the time I would use the phrase "penis envy" in a college essay...
Lol, psychology rocks though. I really don't understand how anyone could find it uninteresting, though I do totally understand that it's really hard to get good marks - Psych, my lowest grade, only scraped a C. Ech, essays. But I think this one is pretty good, gotta hand it in today.
So yeah.
Why is college taking over my life?
Also, my pencil case broke in computing (ironic) so I may have to go and get another one from Tescos if they have any cheap ones... yeah.
My mood has certainly improved since yesterday...
Yesterday: Brain-dead, tired, melancholy, murderous (isn't that a fun cycle!)
Today: Mmm... calm, tired, but brain working! (ish)
Psychology next! 12 o'clock. After that is lunch. After that is History. After that is Maths.
Isn't my life exciting (I almost wrote something more along the lines of: extincting, so that pretty much sums it up)
Hmmmmm... ... ... zZZ...

Topic of the day: EXAM RESULTS
When I got to college we found out our Psychology marks (we technically would get our marks at 2.00pm from our tutors but our teachers knew the marks already so we could get them in class) and we went in one at a time, I got 62 UMS marks which is a C (a rather low C - grade boundary=60) so I was a bit disappointed but sort of tried to be vaguely positive. I thought that exam had gone fairly well so I got a bit worried about the other ones. The best mark in our group was a B and there were a fair amount of low passes - D/E and a couple of Us.
Then me and Rai went to choir to practise Les Mis stuff. Then off to the library because choir was funnily timed today and we still had half and hour to burn, talked to Faye and Jeremy (mainly about exam results). Then me, Faye and Rai went off to the sports hall and lots of stuff followed - lots of going "Where the heck is my darn form tutor!" and the like. Also lots of hassling etc as there were an awful lot of people in there!
Finally found my tutor and after waiting in a long queue of students I got my results, took them and rushed off to my maths lesson but on the way looked at my results:
So yeah, just thought I'd share that with the you.
We got Sims Seasons yesterday so that's awesome :).
Mmm... gardening.
"Her earthy works are done"
(Some will understand)

Today...
Got some homework done, though I've still got a fair amount to do.
Yesterday downloaded Zwinky, v. fun. Though it really frustrated me trying to get rid of that web search thing. Later realised I had to make it it's own toolbar so I could hide it. All is goodly now.
Finished college early yest because Jess is ill so I didn't have my ILP at 2.55 therefore could go home earlier - ended up leaving sometime around 1.30 and got the 1.53 train. Realised I'd lost my bus card - which was good in the way that I had to walk home but bad in the way that now I have to find it because I can't get another one as I've turned 16 now... Well, I will get the 16-17 one when this child one runs out.
Yeah, so updated some bloggy - this one and my quotey one :).
Will probs e-mail Vicki sometime soon as I haven't really kept in touch with any of my cousins before but shall try to now. It sort of really hit me at grandma's funeral because one of the people came up and said stuff about how family should always stay close and stuff. And I really do want to, I felt really bad as well because I didn't e-mail grandma after she asked me to keep in touch last December because I forgot completely with my exams and stuff. And of course me and Chloe hadn't talked for ages until we went to NZ despite the fact that she lives about 5-10 mins drive from my house, lol. Yeah.
So must go do both constructive and non-constructive stuffs.
Byebye.
I conclude, NZ is better.
I think I'll list some things that NZ has that England doesn't, mainly foodstuffs.
It's something to do anyway.
Certain Sweeties
- Huge range of Cadbury's chocolate
- Macintoshes (toffee sweets)
- Those green and white minty sort of things... don't know the name
- Minties
- Fruit Bursts (Yummy!)
- Those funny hard fruit sweeties actually shaped like fruit but taste sort of like flavoured sugar/sherbety.
- Jaffas/Ojays (Though they're not my faves they are Carol's)
- Pineapple Lumps! (Some of my faves - but you can't have too many or your tongue goes sort of numb... a bit like those citrusy polos)
Some lovely crisps/chips (Chips if you're a kiwi, Crisps is you're a pome)
- TWISTIES!
- Burger Rings
- Cheesels
- Grain Waves
- Rashuns
- Just bluebird crisps in general...
Delish ICE CREAM! (Why does NZ have my 2 favourite flavours?)
- GOODY GOODY GUMDROPS!
- ORANGE CHOCOLATE CHIP!
- Hokey Pokey
- Probably others?
Lemon and Paeroa, mmmm.....
Shoes that fit me! I can find loads of shoes in NZ that fit me but over here they suck. I bought 2 pairs of trainers, one pair of pumps and one pair of jandals whilst over there. And they all actually fit me! :D
Really cool jumpers. I bought one bright blue one with white hearts and one three quarter length sleeve one that's green with black patternedy bits. I've been complemented on both and I feel really colourful and stuff with them on :).
Brooke Fraser - lol.
NATURAL BEAUTY EVERYWHERE. It's so lovely over there and even just walking down a normal road it's so amazing. I've really missed that aspect of being over there.
Some of my cousins who are awesome :) (And Vicki and Kims' husbands who are basically my cousins anyway). (All of the ones over there are awesome of course - I just mean that some of my cousins are over here)
Other friends :)
Yeah. I should really move back. Except if I do my friends here said they'll kindly kill me, lol. With friends like these who needs enemies? Dan said he'd stalk me to New Zealand if I left. Fahima said she'd just cry (her parents wouldn't let her leave the country to kill me, lol). David tried to convince me to move to Auckland ("Auckland has everything! You want a beach, come to Auckland, you want shopping, come to Auckland, ..." etc. :P) Don't know if I really would - depends on where I'd want to go to Uni etc.
Some very good reasons to go to NZ are in the list above... hmm... but then having loooovely junk food is a reason not to move back as well, because comfort food over here has less variety so I'd eat way more junk food over there which would not be good at all for my health. Ah, decisions, decisions...
So yeah. NZ rules. :P
