Undignified

I went to Soul Sista on Saturday and it was fantastic! It's a one-day conference for christian girls which I've been to before. This time is was quite different, different seminars/sessions of course but also they were selling more stuff - CDs, books, clothes, bags and stuff. I bought a really cool pink sparkly jumper, it's coolies. And yeah, I learnt more about a deeper relationship with God, how to pray for others (non-christian and christian), waiting on God and more. It was just... awesome. Yeah, One thing I really love at Soul Survivor/Sista is the worship, it's my sort of thing, loud and uninhibited. A song which I really loved there - I heard it then for the first time, is 'Undignified' by Matt Redman, makes you want to dance :P and I'm not really the most 'dancy' person but yeah :). So I'm putting the lyrics here because... well why not? :)

'Undignified' - Matt Redman

I will dance, I will sing, to be mad for my king
Nothing lord is hindering the passion in my soul
I will dance, I will sing, to be mad for my king
Nothing lord is hindering the passion in my soul
(repeat)

Chorus
And I'll become *clap clap* even more undignified than this
(Some would say its foolishness but)
I'll become *clap clap* even more undignified than this
(repeat)

I will dance, I will sing, to be mad for my king
Nothing lord is hindering the passion in my soul
I will dance, I will sing, to be mad for my king
Nothing lord is hindering the passion in my soul

chorus

na na na na na na hey!
na na na na na na hey!
(repeat)

Wives vs Husbands

I got a rather amusing forward from my cousin this morning. I thought I'd share it, not sure I agree with the morals but I am amused.

WIFE VS HUSBAND

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied, "In-laws."
WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day... 30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...”
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.”

The wife responded, "Allow me to explain. God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!"

WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.

The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee." The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee." Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says… "HEBREWS"

THE SILENT TREATMENT
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

*God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.*

Unison

I'm having a weird unison two days. Yesterday, me and Kat went shopping for some canvases for my art and we both went 'And yeah...' together and burst out laughing. Then today I bumped into Dan and a few mates on my way to the library and we both said 'Where are you going?' at exactly the same time and a little later me and Nat both said 'little art shop' together. How odd...

Art exam finished! I think I did pretty well. Kat's is FANTASTIC, she had a secret talent for painting flowers REALLY well. Lovely.

Ow...

I feel like an old lady today, all achy and stuff. I hadn't done much strenuous exercise recently til yesterday when I walked lots and played tennis for... well overall probably an hour or two, but I didn't stretch or anything so I'm feeling a bit nyer (Yes I know it's not really much exercise but when you've been really lazy and not exercising for quite a while you definately feel it the next day). Feel a bit sleepy... Yeah, yesterday was quite a lot of fun with 'the group' which I am now sort of a part of, nice to be part of a group for once lol. Gotta go now, want pizza...

It's all over...

Our time at school has come to an end. I shall not be known as Radioactive Hazelnut at college. Good days.
It was a very interesting day today...
First we had registration, as usual but with a little more extreme people (ecstatic Dan, sad Fahima). Then we went to first period, Art for me in the library, did revision and chatted to Aimee, some people were already starting shirt signing although we weren't supposed to start until fourth period. So that wasn't particularly interesting.
We next went to English where chaos ensued. We had a "party", music, lots of annoyingly toneless singing, and shirt signing - At first Ms Gill tried to stop us from signing shirts but afterward she ended up signing some people's herself!- So all of us were having shirt signed and some people from other classes also came in to sign/have signed shirts. I took lots of photos and had lots of people sign my shirt/signed a lot of peoples shirts. During this lesson various things were written on Kat and Tannya, lol. Kat ended up with 'IM SEXY!' written on her forehead (Thanks to Sarah), 'I agree' on one cheek(That was Tannya)and 'sex me up' on the other cheek (And again, Sarah). Tannya had 'THIS IS A LEG' written on her leg, 'I <3 Kat' on her forehead, something on one cheek that I don't remember and 'I love you sweden' on the other (that was me). Kat couldn't get the purple pen that Sarah used off her face but I'm sure she'll manage tonight, otherwise she'll end up coming to Posh Togs day tomorrow and recieving her Record of Achievement from the head teacher with 'IM SEXY' written on her head. So overall it was a pretty productive lesson :P.
We had break and a lot more shirt signing and colourful writing on people went on.
Last EVER lesson of school was Separate Science. First we just took loads of photos and chatted and signed shirts/people (Kat, the loveliest girlfriend of Curt wrote 'I love willy' on the back of his shirt along with 'I SMELL' and some other pleasant comment I don't remember). Then Curt decided to do some 'actual' science and made magnesium glow and then begun to make a hydrogen bomb. At the end of the lesson it was taped to the lowered section of the ceiling and the string was lit, the bomb popped and I thought it was over, then we went round the other side of the room and saw it had stuck to the side of that ceiling section and was still alight. It was really funny and we've now left our mark, a nice black scorch mark up the side of the ceilingy thing and a slightly mutilated table/socket. Ms Ransome can look at it and remember us fondly.
And lastly we went to the hall where more shirt signing, chatting and a conga line took place. Also later there was much hugging and a little crying just before we all left.
Me and Fahima had to then go drop off our art stuff and I had the perfect end to the day, a bleeding nose, so I bled over my shirt and tie (luckily I have managed to get the blood out) and yeah...
So overall it's been a really fun day lol :D. We went out with a bang!

Poem from Chelsea

Chelsea wrote me a poem and put it in my leaving book, I was rather amused :) So now I am going to put it here too so you all may enjoy her poetic talent.

Hazel, Hazel - It's always the quiet one,
We're soon to be leaving - I'm gonna miss you, hun!
Don't go to New Zealand, don't leave us now,
Remember my tennis incident and funny sounding 'Ow'

You're the one always reading books,
Whilst I am always worrying over my looks,
I've learnt a lot from you - but can I eat your brain?
You've taught me not to be quite so vain!

Continue on writing on your blog and your site,
So I can see when people go wrong or go right
Keep being yourself - being mates with you rocks,
I want to steal your long, dark locks!

Lol, Very nice dearie :)
Oh yeah, just a note, the tennis incident was today, she hit her hand with the tennis racket when swinging for the ball - her hand happened to be in the way - and on the way to the medical room she was making funny whimpering sounds without the 'in pain' face, sort of 'ooh, ooh, oooe', it sounded really funny, even made her laugh despite the pain.
"You know it only breaks my heart
to see you standing in the dark, alone

...

And I can only take so much
these tears are turning me to rust"

How odd...

Today was interesting, quite fun really. I was very happy in art to get all my prep sorted! :)
Very happy.
We had English second and we had a really weird time, there was a year 9 girl running/walking around the school and she was being a bit disruptive and stuff so they had teachers looking for her and they sent two of the guys from my English class out to get her as well, they came back about half-way through the lesson and said they'd got her to the office but she'd shoved one and slammed a door in his face (literally). A little bit later we discovered she'd gone again and that's sort of when the class disintergrated a bit. There were about 10 of us left in the class, the rest were looking for her. 'Cause even when they found her they couldn't legally physically stop her unless she was attacking someone in which case she could be 'restrained'. It was... interesting. Tannya labelled her the 'wild child', lol. By the end of it I'd learnt one thing about her, she's a bit daft and she's rather violent. Like I mentioned before she shoved Scott and slammed a door in his face, later she threw a table at him. She continually swore and teachers and students and scratched one of the teachers in an attempt to get away, so that was very different to the usual English lessons.
Later that day I had Separate Science and it was quite funny (though it shouldn't have been) because Ms R. and David had a bit of an argument because David was being a bit rude because Miss was being really annoying and misunderstanding things but yeah, then David got really angry and threw a really short hissy fit, then Miss turned on us and started having a go at us for our bad behaviour and was saying stuff like "I know you all stand up for each other as you're friends but I can't have things like that happen in my classroom!"Then she got really angry and left the room so we ended up teaching ourselves - revisiony stuff, we were going through a paper. I think we gave a vaguely good impression to a couple of teachers, one of them the Head of Science, when they came in to the scene of us teaching ourselves about respiration and discovered that David and Ms R. had gone off in huffs, lol.
So that was my interesting day...
